National Dementia Action Alliance (NDAA)

As a National Member of the Dementia Action Alliance (DAA), I am delighted to have pledged my support for the DAA ‘From Seldom Heard to Seen and Heard’ Campaign.

The campaign’s focus is on improved outcomes for people living with dementia and their carers who come from communities including:

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender + (LGBT)
Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic (BAME)
Young onset dementia
Prison population
People living in rural communities
People with learning disabilities

For the past few months I have been involved in the planning of the campaign, in particular supporting the DAA secretariat in their work on learning disability and dementia (thanks to my role with MacIntyre).
