My D4Dementia blog is one year old today.

I began the blog to provide support and advice to those faced with similar situations, inform and educate the wider population, promote debate, and campaign for improvements in dementia care and changes to the care system in general. Since 20 May 2012 the blog has gone from strength to strength, and I am very grateful to the huge audience who now regularly read the blog for their support.

This anniversary also falls within UK Dementia Awareness Week 2013, which I am marking by blogging everyday with ‘mini’ blogs on D4Dementia that explore different aspects of conversation from the point of view of people who are living with dementia, carers and families.
