I am delighted to have become a member of the Department of Health’s Independent Advisory Group on Carers.

I have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with the Department of Health in different capacities, including in relation to the G8 Dementia Summit, Dementia Post-Diagnostic Care and Support and the Standing Commission on Carers, and this new role is equally important given the forthcoming publication of the new Carers Strategy.
