As a National Member of the Dementia Action Alliance (DAA), I am honoured to have joined their Communications Advisory Group.

The Dementia Action Alliance is a movement with one simple aim: to bring about a society-wide response to dementia. It encourages and supports communities and organisations across England to take practical actions to enable people to live well with dementia and reduce the risk of costly crisis intervention.

Thousands of organisations work together through the DAA. The membership includes large and small charities, Royal Colleges, Pharmaceutical companies, local authorities, acute trusts and local businesses. You can find out more about the DAA here: https://nationaldementiaaction.org.uk

The Communications Advisory Group is made up of DAA members with expertise in communications. We will be advising the DAA secretariat on how to improve their interaction with the DAA membership and society as a whole, in order to maximise the effectiveness of the DAA and in turn improve the lives of people who are living with dementia.
