My debut book chapter has been published by Jessica Kingsley.

The book, ‘Creating Culturally Appropriate Outside Spaces and Experiences for People with Dementia’, is edited by Mary Marshall and Jane Gilliard.

Introduction by Mary Marshall and Jane Gilliard

My chapter ‘A Family’s Perspective on Nature and Dementia – Using the Great Outdoors to Help the Inner Person’ was written in autumn 2012 and charts my father’s love of outdoor life and how we tried to incorporate that into his care during his years with vascular dementia. It is the first chapter of the book and can be found on pages 26-34.
