I’ve been privileged to work with MacIntyre to support their Dementia Special Interest Groups (DSIGs) since October 2013. I think I’ve now attend 30+ of these inspiring and informative meetings (here is an example from 2015), which in recent years I’ve co-hosted with Nicola Payne, MacIntyre’s Best Practice Manager for Health and Families.
The MacIntyre DSIG are online and open-access to all, offering fantastic guests (which mostly always includes a person living with dementia) and educational content.
For today’s DSIG we welcomed Masood (Maq) Qureshi to talk about his life with dementia, and collaborated with MacIntyre’s Best Practice Facilitator, Sonya Cox, who shared MacIntyre’s approach to communication as part of the overall communication theme of today’s meeting.
We are currently hearing from @bethyb1886.bsky.social on our DSIG running throughout the best bits of the last 6 months
