Having begun hosting the Dementia Community webinars on 28 November 2023 (The first webinar I hosted for Dementia Community is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hj1QhYyFGLM), I’m delighted to share that the webinars have grown hugely in popularity during 2025.

The programme I’ve run for 2025 has been a 21-webinar series and participant numbers between the highest attendance in 2024 verses 2025 shows growth of an impressive 120%.

The webinars get some amazing feedback as well, including this from the recent delirium webinar:

“A thousand thanks to you and to Alison for a remarkably useful and interesting and engaging session.  You both straddled professionals and carers so effectively, the slides and film were excellent, and Alison’s unique perspective as a senior nurse consultant was invaluable on such an important topic.  As carer of my 95 year old mother I feel so much better placed now to be alert to, recognise and act correctly upon this issue, should it recur.”

My thanks go to all of the fantastic presenters who’ve joined me on the webinars since I began hosting them, to my colleagues at Dementia Community (and my tech support Rod) who help to make these webinars so successful, and to all of the people who join us, often regularly attending, to gain knowledge, ask questions and share insights.

I am planning the 2026 Dementia Community webinar programme, which will remain free to all. Keep an eye on the Dementia Community webinars page for when the webinars go live: https://journalofdementiacare.co.uk/events2/webinars-2 and/or follow Dementia Community on Eventbrite for a notification that goes directly to your inbox when a webinar is available to book onto: https://www.eventbrite.com/o/dementia-community-58564984153
