NCF Conference

Following my speech at the National Care Forum (NCF) Managers Conference on 4 November 2019, I want to thank all of the delegates who’ve contacted me following my speech to say how much they enjoyed it and share how it has inspired them. I’m delighted to have received feedback saying how ‘inspirational’, ‘thought provoking’, ‘powerful’ and ‘moving’ my session was.

My speech, entitled ‘Being a Change Maker for Family Carers’, explored how family carers, families and care providers can work together to ensure the person and relationship centred outcomes that are at the heart of care and support. The slides from my presentation are available here: https://www.nationalcareforum.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Being-a-Change-Maker-for-Family-Carers.pdf

You can also read ‘Innovation and Relationships’, a blog from NCF’s Policy, Research and Projects Officer Nathan Jones that talks about my speech, and my D4Dementia blog that provides further information on what I talked about.

My thanks go to Vic Rayner, Helen Glasspool and all at the National Care Forum for inviting me to speak at their conference.
