Forthcoming Learning Disabilities and Dementia Webinar for the DAA - 8 May 2018

Published: 20 March 2018

I will be co-presenting a webinar for the Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) with Sarah Ormston, MacIntyre's Specialist Health Advisor and Dementia Project Manager, on 8 May 2018.

Entitled 'Learning Disabilities and Dementia - Enhancing Care and Support', the webinar will showcase the pioneering work MacIntyre have done through their Department of Health funded ‘Dementia Project’, which aims to improve awareness of learning disabilities and dementia, support a timely diagnosis and train professionals. We will explain the value to frontline staff of having access to the ‘Wellbeing for Life’ toolkit, and give practical tips for any health and social care provider who is supporting people with a learning disability and dementia, or who are at risk of developing dementia.

I am the external consultant for MacIntyre's Dementia Project, and have worked closely with the team on this work. MacIntyre are also my longest serving consultancy client, at 4+ years.

More information and registration details for this webinar can be found on the DAA website.

I am extremely proud to be a member of the DAA. Please do take some time to read more about the DAA.
