Updated DAA Action Plan

Published: 10 July 2017

I am a National Member of the Dementia Action Alliance (DAA), which requires the periodical updating of my action plan. You can read my newly updated action plan and profile here.

The Dementia Action Alliance is a movement with one simple aim: to bring about a society-wide response to dementia. It encourages and supports communities and organisations across England to take practical actions to enable people to live well with dementia and reduce the risk of costly crisis intervention.

There are currently over 5980 organisations working together through the DAA. The membership includes large and small charities, Royal Colleges, Pharmaceutical companies, local authorities, acute trusts and local businesses.

I am extremely proud to be a member of the DAA, and in particular my involvement this year with the Communications Advisory Group and the forthcoming DAA Seldom Heard Groups Call to Action. I have also recommended national DAA membership to some of my consultancy clients, and i'm delighted that they have gone on to join the DAA.

Please do take some time to read more about the DAA, and if you work in an organisation that supports people living with dementia, or families affected by dementia, please consider joining the DAA.
